Dance Masters of Mid-America Chapter #34 and CESOD
Training & striving for excellence

2026 Dance Masters of Mid-America Title Holders
CESOD is proud to be an active member of Dance Masters of Mid-America Chapter #34, a vibrant community dedicated to excellence in dance education and performance throughout the region. Our studio, under the guidance of owner Charlee, who serves as Treasurer, and Nick, who chairs the Friendship Committee, has been deeply involved in the chapter’s activities, supporting both students and fellow dance educators in multiple roles. Over the years, we have proudly served as judges, tabulators, and choreographers for a variety of Dance Masters events and conventions, contributing to the growth and enrichment of the dance community.
Each year, CESOD students eagerly participate in the Chapter #34 annual convention, a multi-day celebration of dance that combines rigorous training, performance opportunities, and professional feedback. Dancers attend masterclasses with top instructors and gain invaluable experience in a supportive environment.
Dancers also participate in an annual Performing Arts Critique, where students receive detailed evaluations from experienced judges on technique, artistry, and stage presence. This feedback is instrumental in helping our dancers refine their skills, set goals, and elevate their performance to the next level.
A highlight of the season is the Solo Title Competition, a prestigious event that recognizes outstanding individual performers across age divisions. This year, we are thrilled to celebrate our students’ remarkable achievements: Rocco Slaughter earned the title of Teen Mr. Dance Masters Chapter #34, Brody Taylor was named Junior Mr. Dance Masters Chapter #34, and Khaleesi Walker captured the title of Junior Miss Dance Masters Chapter #34. These honors are a testament to their hard work, passion, and the mentorship they receive from our dedicated staff.
Through ongoing involvement with Dance Masters of Mid-America Chapter #34, CESOD continues to provide students with opportunities to grow as performers, connect with a broader dance community, and achieve excellence on stage. This year, our top dancers are headed to Mashantucket, Connecticut, to compete at the Dance Masters National Competition, representing Chapter #34 on the national stage. At Nationals, students perform solos, participate in interview sessions, and are adjudicated in scholarship classes, giving them a well-rounded and rigorous experience that challenges their technique, artistry, and professionalism. Competing at this level allows dancers to benchmark themselves against the nation’s finest, receive constructive feedback from top judges, and gain confidence and stage presence that lasts a lifetime. Our commitment to both education and performance ensures that every dancer has the tools, guidance, and support to reach their full potential, whether at a regional convention or on the national stage.
