School Policies

Registration

Registration is conducted in person or by mail. A fee of $25 per student is required along with the recital fee to enroll each student. Registration fees will be waived for students who have previously taken from Charlee. A recital fee and costume deposit fee are also due upon enrollment.

Tuition

Choose to pay your tuition by the month or in full for the year. Monthly payments are pro-rated over a 9-month period (Sept.-May) and are due by the 1st of each month and is considered late after the 10th. A $10 late fee will be charged to your account if payment is received after the 10th of each month. We also offer a family discount. (See enclosed schedule.) All returned checks will have a $25 charged to their account.

Level Placement

Students are placed at appropriate levels based on age and ability and is determined by faculty. Advancement is decided through faculty evaluation during the school year.

Schedule Changes

Classes not meeting a minimum of 6 students may be rescheduled or cancelled. If this happens, our staff will make every effort to accommodate you in finding another class.

Refunds and Makeup Classes

Makeup classes are available as in option, but not required. We do ask that students don’t miss anymore than 2 classes for the year. Class cancellation due to weather is based on the CESOD Staff. Please check our website calendar to see if classes have been cancelled. Classes are not cancelled on conference day. There are no make up classes in the month of May.

Proper Attire

  • All students must have a solid color leotard and tights from the One Stop Elite Dance Shop.
  • Ballet skirts are allowed but not required.
  • Jazz pants, capris or hot shorts are permitted in Jazz, Tap and Hip-Hop classes.
  • NO T-SHIRTS ALLOWED.
  • Tumbling students wear solid color leotards from Elite Dance Shop.
  • Tight bike shorts or capri pants are allowed but not required.
  • No tights or shoes allowed for tumbling.
  • Girls, hair must be pulled back away from face, BUN or PONYTAIL for all classes.
  • Boys wear white T-shirt/black pants, black ballet, jazz and tap shoes.
  • All dancers must have the required shoes for technique class by October 1, 2009.
