Charlee’s Elite School of Dance offers a variety of classes for both boys and girls of all ages at Koalaty Time’s three locations.

PLEASE NOTE: Classes must have a minimum of six students enrolled in order for the class to be held. Please keep this form for your records.

Attire

All hair must be worn up off of the neck and secured to the child’s head.

• BALLET: Pink or Black Leotard, Pink Tights, and Revolution Pink Ballet Shoes.
• TAP: Revolution White Tap Shoes.
• OTHER CLASSES: Comfortable Clothing, No Shoes, No Socks, No Skirts.

• Classes start Oct. 2 and end Dec. 21
• Classes resume Jan. 7 and end in May

Elite Dance Shop

The Elite Dance Shop located at 16190 Laurel Street Suite B in Waukee has all of the dancers attire needed. We would also be happy to bring any of the required shoes to the students to try on before class, just call the dance shop at 987-7337. The Revolution Brand is only sold at the Elite Dance Shop. Payment Information

Make checks payable to Charlee’s Elite School of Dance. Payments are due the first of each month. Payments received after the 10th, will be charged a $10 late fee. Payments are due even if the child has missed classes. There is a $20 non-refundable registration fee. Performing Preschool Ballet/Tap class have a Recital Fee of $60 due upon enrollment. For Ballet/Tap students, there will be an additional fee for recital costumes due in November.

Classes

MOVIN’ ‘2’ THE MUSIC
(AGES 2-3 YEARS OLD)

A Movement Experience, it’s our time to dance! Creating new ways to move and clapping to the beat. Rhythm and Rhyme, Having a Toe Tapping Time. Classes are 20 minutes on Tuesdays at KT2, Wednesdays at KT the Castle, Thursdays at Encore from 9:15-10:05. Cost is $30 per month. (First week of October to last week of March)

PERFORMING PRESCHOOL BALLET/TAP
(AGES 3-5)

We begin our BALLET classes at the tender age of 3. Our program will advance students to a pre-professional level. We provide strong classical techniques stressing proper body alignment, allegro, adage and center combinations, correct placement and terminology. Ballet is a total body exercise and the foundation of all dance. It is impossible to be an advanced jazz dancer and not be an excellent ballet technician.

TAP

Tap is different rhythms produced by making sounds with your feet. Tap classes include tap barre, movement across the floor and center floor combination. Tap terminology is introduced at a young age. Our advance dancers continue working on intricate rhythms and various styles of movement. Tap is a fun and unique way to work with coordination, timing, style as well as rhythm and dance.

Classes are 45 minutes on Tuesdays at KT2, Wednesdays at KT the Castle, Thursdays at Encore from 10:15-11:00. Cost is $40 per month. DEADLINE: Students must register for this class by October.

TUMBLING (AGES 2-3 and 4-5)

Charlee’s Elite School of Dance offers high quality tumbling instruction. These beginners with start with stretching, conditioning, various rolls, all forms of cart wheels, back-bends, bridges, hand-stands with emphasis on balance and flexibility. Classes are 30 minutes on Tuesdays at KT2, Wednesdays at KT the Castle, Thursdays at Encore from 8:45-9:15 for ages 2-3 and 9:15-9:45 for ages 4-5. Cost is $35 month. Will run the months of: first week of October to last week in November; first week of February to the last week of March.
