Elite Edge Goals for 2011 - 2012

  • Work on pirouettes, and hold them in relève and stay on balance at the end by stopping in relève
  • Continue to grow and push my flexibility
  • Adapting different styles quickly and apply the style in my face and body
  • Be sharper in hip-hop and really push the hits and get low
  • Continue my study in ballet class to help improve my technique
  • Improve my spotting to make turns cleaner
  • Return to class and/or rehearsal knowing my dances and/or cleaning my technique
  • Start counting and not just knowing moves with words
  • Learn how to use my face/facials when taking class and performing all styles and choreography
  • Work on my arm placement and using the strength of my back and core
  • Open up my leg to a full 2nd position in my fouettes and maintaining my turn out
  • Achieve over splits on both right and left
  • Keeping the group positive, no drama
  • I want to make sure no one feels left out in any group pieces
  • Work on my timing in my jumps, so they can be higher and I have time to stretch more
  • I would like to work on my feet and improve my arch and ankle flexibility
  • Have cleaner tap sounds
  • That everything on the left side, including turns, jumps, battements, extensions are just as strong on the right
  • I want to become more flexible in my back
  • Work to maintain all 3 splits with control
  • Double battement pirouettes, nice, clean and solid
  • I want to do 4, 5, and 6 strong turns on both sides
  • Stop looking at the ground
  • Have fun in class and practice outside of class
  • Push my center leaps up much higher
  • Loosen up in hip hop
  • Improve my hips, work my turn out and strengthen my hip flexibility
  • Be positive 24/7
  • Do facials all the time in practice and practice how I want to perform
  • Use my turn out in the air and on the floor
  • Pick up combos faster, down to all the details, style, face, feet, body and then put myself into it
  • Use my stretch band on my feet everyday
  • Be both stylistic and technical
  • Make right and left equal in everyway
  • Practice at home
  • Work to have stronger ankles and feet
  • Get my scissor Russian on both sides
  • I would like to have my back handspring by myself
  • Bring a water bottle to class
  • Work for back tuck and front Arial
  • Stretch behind my knees
  • Finish all my movement by using all my music so I can lengthen and have cleaner transitions
  • Develope on both sides w/ hold
  • Clean Foutees
  • Scorpions, side leaps and scissors
  • Round off back handspring back tuck
  • Even though I am “flexible” I want to get my legs even higher with proper placement
  • Remove my thumbs from my hand placement
  • Improve and grow in Pointe class
  • Be more responsible
  • Show good leadership skills
  • Learn dances quickly and have all my dances down
  • Have a strong body and good placement
  • Watch finger and wrist placements
  • Work on all meta tarsal work without being pigeon toed
  • Always go through demi point
  • Work on tightening up while dancing
  • Be an all around dancer
